On February 26, 2008 SOJA, Gentleman & The Far East Band will touch down in Raleigh NC- where they will begin their first of three shows together (see dates below). This will truly be a momentous occasion- SOJA has been working to bring Gentleman to the east coast since they first his heard his music in 2005, and became instant fans. This German Born musician was such an inspiration to SOJA that they decided to cover “Runaway” & “Empress;” which helped break Gentleman in the area. More recently, SOJA had a chance to share the stage with Gentleman at The Festineuch in Switzerland, and Uppsalla Reggae Festival in Sweden. Read More »

SOJA is now touring in support of their latest release (Jan ‘08), The Stars and Stripes EP (Innerloop) . This is a preview of the upcoming album (to be released Summer ‘08). Fresh off their third European tour, SOJA begins 2008 in Aloha fashion hitting the Hawaiian Islands, then onto the West Coast with a string of dates from Seattle to San Diego, and back East hitting select cities between New York and Miami. WHEN SOJA RECORDED the “Get Wiser Live” DVD, a bonus-added concert version of its “Get Wiser” album, at the State Theatre in Falls Church nearly two years ago, the Virginia-based reggae roots band packed the house and stacked the deck. With an expanded lineup that featured guest appearances by conga player Milton “Go Go Mickey” Freeman of Rare Essence, the Eddie Drennon String Quartet and members of the Puerto Rican reggae band Gomba Jahbari, SOJA gave the capacity crowd what it came to hear, and then some.
