On February 26, 2008 SOJA, Gentleman & The Far East Band will touch down in Raleigh NC- where they will begin their first of three shows together (see dates below). This will truly be a momentous occasion- SOJA has been working to bring Gentleman to the east coast since they first his heard his music in 2005, and became instant fans. This German Born musician was such an inspiration to SOJA that they decided to cover “Runaway” & “Empress;” which helped break Gentleman in the area. SOJA is now touring in support of their latest release (Jan ‘08), The Stars and Stripes EP (Innerloop) . This is a preview of the upcoming album (to be released Summer ‘08). Fresh off their third European tour, SOJA begins 2008 in Aloha fashion hitting the Hawaiian Islands, then onto the West Coast with a string of dates from Seattle to San Diego, and back East hitting select cities between New York and Miami. SOJA has recently returned from their third ‘07 tour of Europe to hit select cities on the east coast. Enjoying sold out crowds in college towns where the bands roots lie, including: Blacksburg VA (Go Hokies!), Harrisonburg VA, Charlottesville VA, Raleigh NC, Greenville NC & Wilmington NC. Innerloop Records is proud to announce SOJA’s first European tour. It is one of 2 trips the band will be making this summer to Europe - this first tour consists of 12 shows in France, 1 in Belgium, as well as a stop at the renowned Open Air Fest in Switzerland. The band will then return in August to do more club shows and festivals. Happy New Year! The band would like to thank all those who came out to the 9:30 Club show, making it a very memorable first Saturday night of 2007. Also thanks to JBB and FNB for making it such a solid lineup.

SOJA is now headed to the islands which will be the start of a month long tour. After hitting the Hawaiian Islands, they will head even further west, to play 2 shows in the Republic of Palau. The band is blessed to travel so far to a nation of 300 mostly uninhabited rock islands, and play for the people of Palau, who very rarely get the opportunity to see live concerts. Read More »

“It is with deep regret and sadness that we have to share with you the news of the passing of Joseph ‘Culture’ Hill. According to Joseph’s daughter, Afraine, who we spoke to from Joseph’s home in Jamaica today, her father died in Germany from liver failure early morning Saturday, August 19th. Hill (born: January 22, 1949) enjoyed a lengthy career in reggae music and is mostly known for his hit ‘Two Sevens Clash.” Read More »
